This is the first post on my new blog and what better way to start it than talking about the city that inspired me to explore travelling. Paris is the dream of every hopeless romantic. A city with about 2000 years of history, that has evolved into the Capital of Fashion in the world today. Everything about it is exquisite. Whether it be the Roman Medieval Architecture that’s still visible in the heart of the city, or the sparkling tiny cafes and bakeries that are spread all over the city. The unique aesthetic of the city makes it a experience that you can’t sense anywhere else in the world. The wide boulevards filled with frantically rushing vehicles that are bounded by the Parisian buildings, each having an amusing history, is a sight to savour. The buildings aren’t simple renditions of bricks, cement and paint, rather, they appear to be the works of the Greek Goddess Athena herself. Every structure is a canvas, splashed with the aesthetically pleasing shades of gold, peach and brown. There is a flow to the designs on the walls of this historic city, a Parisian flow. It is an acknowledgement to the legacy it holds. Paris is the home to various legendary works of Art and the city clearly showcases it in it’s appearance. The Lourve, Sacre-Coeur, there is an attached testimony and history to every building in this city. It has the magical painting- Mona Lisa, the serene river Seine, sky-topping architectural wonder- Eiffel Tower. The city is artistic, poetic, modern, classic and historic, all at the same time. This is what makes Paris the first destination in my to-go dream list.

You walk on the street casually and there is a high chance that you run into a model showcasing the latest progress in modern fashion trends. No wonder, you would find a fashion walk show happening everyday, at least once, somewhere in the city. Paris is all about looking elegant, smelling dignified and walking like an icon. The world famous perfume, Shalimar, is from Paris. I would love to visit Le Marais, the fashionable district of Paris, where you’d find world famous boutiques and galleries. Paris is the dream destination of many women for this reason. You will find every costume that you have seen on the television and wished for it since. But I’m pretty sure you would be astonished looking at it’s price tag as well! Paris is an elegant city, a classic dream of every fashion designer, but it doesn’t come with an appealing price. It is an expensive city, but, the exciting things it offers everyday sure makes the price a lot more worthy of investment.

To better understand my perspective, I’d recommend you to watch a video titled “Begin Again” on YouTube. It is a music video for a song by Taylor Swift but the cinematography and aesthetics of the video shot in Paris is a visual explanation of what I just wrote. I would say one has to visit this fascinating city at least once in his/her liftime. Because once you visit Paris, it stays with you wherever you go, for Paris is a moveable feast. After all, it indeed is an enchanting city!
